According to a report that Dalberg and the University of Newcastle, Australia, did for the WWF the average person could be ingesting approximately 5 grams of plastic every week, that is the equivalent of consuming one credit card per week!<\/p>\n\n

Nowadays, the plastic is polluting the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. Plastic pollution is a significant environmental issue that occurs when plastic waste accumulates in the environment, particularly in water bodies, oceans, and landfills. Plastics are synthetic polymers that are non-biodegradable, meaning that they do not break down easily like organic materials do. As a result, they persist in the environment for hundreds of years, causing various negative effects, including negative impacts on human health.<\/p>\n\n

To mitigate the effects of plastic pollution in wildlife and to human health, we must act now! Individual responsibility is crucial. To think critically and avoid the use of plastic in our daily life is the best solution for the reduction of plastic pollution. So, the solution is on our hands!<\/p>\n\n
